I've always found that writing helps me organise my thoughts. Be it working through different situations, emotions, prayers, or just writing what is on my mind. Usually, I kept it either in journals or notebooks, or even on some note apps, but I thought to myself, would it not be interesting to put it somewhere online? Hence why this website exists now.
The name anything really is reminiscent of a time with a friend where we wanted to start a blog (for who knows what reason), and we came up with the name anything really, because we wanted to keep it broad as heck, and I still do somewhat, since there are a few areas that interest me and create a desire within me to muse or contemplate them. It's odd, but that's okay, it keeps things interesting.
Incase you're wondering "Who the heck is this guy and why should I care what he thinks about [insert subject here]?!" The truth is that you shouldn't. This is more for myself than for others. A form of processing and contemplating the world around us and the intricacies of human life...
who am i?
Anyway, my name is Joshua. I am a lover of God and this world He had created. Of the beauty that is around us, waiting to be discovered or even rediscovered. I have a deep love and connection to music, though contrary to popular belief, it does not mean I know what the latest songs are (it's constantly assumed for quizzes and other things like that that my knowledge and love for the subject will expand into an area that may be useful for that). I am completely enamoured by lyrics that make you think and are able to provide a place to contemplate the world around us or invites you into a story that takes you into the mind of another. Oof, or even the way that a musician might design a song. The inclusion of an instrument at the right moment. The way that the melody accompanies they'll lyrics. The whole song just working together, revealing the underlying passion and love for their craft from the musician. A testament to human creativity and reaching beyond ourselves to both explore and dive deeper into the creativity and beauty of God Himself. Absolutely magnificent...
But enough about that... what else? Oh yes! Apologetics is something else that I find to be absolutely intriguing and a thing of beauty in itself. I was drawn into it during my own reconstruction after I deconstructed my faith previously. Seeing the beauty of what God has put together through different people, across centuries is mind blowing. I can't wait to explore it more and contemplate it further here. Diving deeper into God altogether. It's just so good...
I'm sure to reveal more about myself as I go along. I'm very open with my thought and love to discuss things further, as I know that it's in the exploration of ideas that we're able to learn and grow further.
So I guess stick around to see what becomes of this blog and what I write about in the future.
PS I should probably just mention that I've never done this before, and I hope to improve in my writing altogether.
