beauty contained: humanity

by Joshua | Feb 13, 2026 | beauty | 0 comments

There is a beauty to be discovered within each of us. The way we think. The way we are. The ways we interact. The ways we love. Each of created with something. Sometimes hidden from ourselves, but realised by another.

To be with a person. To see them. To interact with them. To relate to them. To understand them. Uncovering that beauty that is contained. To see what the Creator has placed there. It takes time. It takes effort. Things we don't always think the other person deserves. Thing we don't always think we deserve. Or perhaps something we unjustly expect. Both of these born from brokenness.

The same brokenness that may obscur this beauty. Perverting it into something it never way. Requiring healing that we can't do ourselves. Only the hands of a loving Father can reach down and provide the healing we so desperately desire. I see it in the eyes of the people I meet. Sometimes getting a glimpse of the beauty hidden, but it's never fully realised. Never fully revealed.

So desperate for things to be set right, but never fully aware of what is needed. Of the tender touch that is needed by hands oh so loving. The touch of a Father. The touch of love itself. Casting out all fears. Providing a place to heal from. Providing a place to grow from. Providing a place to realise the beauty within. To share it with the world. To open our eyes to know we are loved by a being so far beyond us. More than we can imagine. More than we can truly know. Yet His love and grace for us never ends. Waiting patiently, as we drift in our brokenness, throwing insult to what He has made.

Forgive us, Oh Lord. We are mere ignorant foolish mortals. So, undeserving of anything that you are , yet You love us. Giving Your life for us. Seeking us out. Respecting our no. May we find You. Finding comfort in who You are. Finding rest in your yoke. Finding the beauty that has been marred and hidden away. May it shine for the world once more. Glorifying You in all that it is. In the ways it's expressed. In the ways that it impacts those around us. In the ways that it is You.
