The wisdom we will be speaking about here is the practical wisdom that we are told to seek out in James 1:5. I find the Amplified makes it the most clear.
James 1:5 AMP
[5] If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
It's not about wisdom in the sense of some higher philosophy or ageless truth with great depth and insight, but that practical wisdom that we use to navigate our daily life. It's about putting truth into action.
Reflection
Recount the trials you have faced in your life. Can you say these trials led to wisdom? Experience shapes us, but wisdom brings perspective. Examine how much wisdom you possess corresponding to your years, and if you find yourself lacking, ask God to fill up what is lacking. The virtues of prudence are a perfect place to start.
